W02 Reflection: Achieving Dreams and Creating a Life of Meaning
Meaning of life W02 Reflection: Achieving Dreams and Creating a Life of Meaning
This week while studying Randy Pausch’s “Last Lecture” I couldn't help but think about my own life. Watching and reading about a man who knew his time was limited but still chose to focus on joy, purpose, and childhood dreams made me reflect deeply on my own goals and direction in life.
I think Randy was able to achieve so many of his childhood dreams because he never stopped believing they were possible. He worked hard, stayed positive, and didn’t let setbacks stop him.
I feel that for me personally dreaming is important. Dreams give us something to work toward and help us see beyond the everyday stuff. Without dreams, life can feel like we’re just going through the motions. Even if we don’t achieve all of them exactly how we imagine, they still push us to grow and keep going.
One of my childhood dreams was to make movies. I used to imagine creating stories that people would watch and feel something from. I’m not a filmmaker right now, but I still love storytelling and creative projects. I hope that one day I can achieve this dream. It's not impossible.
This week reminded me to not take life for granted, to keep chasing what matters, and to be open to how our dreams can evolve.
